As a local Colorado business that’s dedicated to paying it forward to our community, we’re very excited to be able to help deserving nonprofit organizations meet their funding goals. Most of us have kids who’ve been down or are still going down that never-ending fundraising path with their schools and clubs, and we know how much work traditional fundraising is for everyone.
We also know you won’t make millions with this opportunity, we’re just hoping that since our Nonprofit Program (currently limited to Colorado groups) doesn’t compete with your other traditional fundraisers, that it’ll bring you enough extra cash to fill in the gaps and help you keep paying it forward, too!

HOW IT WORKS
Seriously. This is a no-brainer.
Here’s how it works: STEP 1: You take approximately 90 seconds to answer a few questions online to let us know your group might be interested in participating. Then, in about 3 days or less, we'll email you a Parent Form. STEP 2: All you need to do is FORWARD that Parent Form to your group/team parents. That's it!
The Parent Form walks your parents through 2 simple steps so we can help them share your group/team's 50% Friends & Family Discount Code with their Colorado family, friends, neighbors and co-workers who might have an interest in: being less stressed or anxious; doing better with schoolwork and on tests; nailing an upcoming ACT or SAT exam; improving their athletic performance; increasing sales numbers at work; relaxing and being more focused on the job; controlling chronic pain, losing weight, being more motivated to exercise, meeting that special someone; making more money, etc.

Is there a minimum number of members/people we need in our group?
No, there is only a minimum number of unique adult email addresses needed, which is 300, who belong to people living in the Denver Metro area, between Boulder in the North and Monument in the South. Just remember, like compounding interest, the more emails you start with, the more money your group typically makes, compounding each month as people from your initial email group forward your first email to their friends and coworkers, and then they forward it to their friends, and on and on.
Can more than one group in our program, school or church participate?
Yes. Each group will be given a unique Friends & Family Discount Code. Groups are paid a donation for all tickets sold using its individual code. Please let us know ASAP if your group/team/club wants to be included, as we only have a limited number of spots available for each location (particularly with schools).
I oversee our program which has several teams/groups in it, should I sign up as one program or individual teams/groups?
That's up to you. As long as you initially provide a minimum of 300 unique adult email addresses (in the Metro Denver area, Boulder to Monument), you can receive an individual Friends & Family Discount code for that team/group. Typically it's easier for school athletic programs to combine all the teams, but club teams, churches and other nonprofit programs may want to split their groups up and assign one individual to oversee each group's account, including the funds we mail that group each month. It's completely your choice.
What does it cost our group?

When will we receive our donation fee?
On the 20th of each month, we will mail your group a statement of the previous month’s activity, along with your donation check.
Can we do this with other fundraisers?
Of course! This is not a traditional fundraiser at all. Our Cash for Nonprofits Program doesn’t compete with your fundraising campaign, instead it’s a complementary program designed to bring in enough extra cash each month to fill in the gaps and help you keep paying it forward! With some groups, this program may be all you need, and you can skip fundraising for the year all together. For others, it’s icing on the cake, …added cash to maybe pay for a group member who couldn’t otherwise afford to participate, buy some extra equipment or jackets for the group, or maybe use for a monthly group-bonding pizza party. It’s your money, you decide!
Plus, we help garner goodwill between your group and the public since you’re offering them a substantial discount to an already reasonably priced Mini Retreat that many will want to attend. You’re thanking them for their past, present and future support, and at the same time, you’re giving them something of value!
What’s the catch?
There’s only one. Our therapists primarily see clients in an office setting throughout the Metro Denver area. Fees are typically $150-$350 per private session. We keep busy, and we help a lot of people. But, not everyone is ready to jump right into a private session, ...some can't afford an individual session and others prefer to dip their toes in the water first by starting out in a group setting.
So, we decided to begin offering several adult and teen 90-120 minute group sessions - Group Mini Retreats. They're priced between $79.99-$99.99 each (only $39.99-$49.99 with your discount code), and they address the areas that many of our clients come to us for help with (stress, anxieties, grades, athletic performance, weight loss, selling dating, pain relief, etc.)
And, although we already donate our time at area high schools (psychology classes) and at colleges (smoke-out sessions), we wanted to find a way to financially help deserving Colorado nonprofit clubs, groups, teams, etc., beginning in the Spring of 2018.
As a result, …our Cash for Nonprofits Program was born. With this Program: (1) We’re able to help more people in group settings who can’t normally afford our private rates (or they’d like to check us out first in a group Mini Retreat), (2) Those attending will be able to do so at an unbelievably low price using the nonprofit’s Family & Friends discount code, (3) We’ll donate money from the Retreats back to the nonprofits.
The catch? Here it is. Our staff is limited, which means the number of Colorado nonprofits we can allow into the program must be limited, too. As much as we’d love to allow every group into the program, we just don’t have enough therapists, …the numbers will not work. So, please don’t get left out, make sure you email us right away and we can get your group included before we’re full!
Is the email sent out on behalf of our group personalized?
Yes! The email will include information you provide to us with about your group, club, program, church or school, as well as an option to include details on what your group hopes to use your donated proceeds for. Your personalized paragraph can be left the same each month, or to make it more effective (and increase your cash flow), you may make a small change or addition in the copy each month.
Can we (and others) just give or text our Friends & Family Discount Code to others?
Yes! However, only if we have their email address can we send them monthly emails “from your group” listing the upcoming schedule of Mini Retreats. The more emails, the more money your group will tend to see month after month. Anyone using your discount code to purchase a Mini Retreat ticket will be added to your group’s email list. You may also send us additional email addresses to be added to your list at any time. But, …absolutely yes, forward your discount code and a schedule link we'll give you to everyone you know!
Are the emails our group provides to you kept private?
Absolutely! The email addresses provided by your nonprofit group are kept completely private - never sold, leased or rented. As Colorado Registered Psychotherapists, we have a very stringent privacy policy.
Can we refer other nonprofit groups to this program?
Of course! Just please understand that, as we said before, our staff is limited, which means the number of nonprofits we can allow into the program must be limited, too. We often have to place limits based on the geographic area your group is in, a limit on the number of groups allowed per school or church, etc. That being said, please encourage any worthy nonprofit groups you think would do well with our program to send us a request, and please ask them to put a note on the Questions/Comments section of our REPLY form that they were referred by you so we can list them as a Priority Applicant.
How long does the program last?
Your Friends & Family Discount code is good for up to one year. Either party may cancel the program at any time after the first month, however, once started, the program runs on automatic. Typically, because of the compounding component each month (people from your initial email group forward the first email they get to their friends and coworkers, and then they forward it to their friends, and on and on), groups should notice the number of tickets sold using their discount code grow each month. So, a group of 100 members may sell 17 tickets the first month, then 20, 23, 27, 32, 38, 43, 50, 57, 66, 77, and 90 the last month, (540 for the year), so letting the checks roll in month after month is definitely the way to go!
Are workshop tickets tax deductible?
No, Tickets are sold and Mini Retreats are hosted by In the Zone Performance, LLC, a for-profit company, therefore the amount paid for the ticket is not tax deductible.
Can we see who purchased tickets using our Friends & Family Discount code?
Sorry, but no. Since some of our workshops may cover “sensitive issues” (ex. Weight Loss, etc.) and the Retreats are conducted by Colorado registered Psychotherapists, our list of those attending is confidential.
How can we raise even more money?
Spread the word and your Friends & Family Discount code! It’s a simple numbers’ game. The more people that hear about the Mini Retreats and use your discount code when purchasing their tickets, the more money your group makes. We’ll provide you with copy and a link to the Mini Retreat online registration page that you may include on your Website, Emails you send out, digital or printed Newsletters, Sports Programs, Church Bulletins or Programs, etc. Just please make sure you only use our approved copy describing the retreats (or get your copy preapproved by us), as we want to make sure there is no unintentional misrepresentation. So, if you want to spend a few extra minutes to spread the word even further, your efforts will help make a difference when we $end you the CA$H!
